Angel Locsin (born Angelica Colmenares on April 23, 1985), is a television and film actress, commercial model, film producer and fashion designer in the Philippines.

Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004. Soon after, she starred as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the popular Mars Ravelo comics. Rosemarie Joy Garcia, better known by her stage name Diana Zubiri (born on April 15, 1985 in Bulacan, Philippines), is a Filipina actress. Zubiri was discovered by Seiko Films when she was 15 years after applying for a work in Japan. She then started on sexy roles on various films by Seiko. In an overseas telephone conversation with Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today, Diaz said although he hadn’t seen Valero fight “my money is on Pacquiao.”

He belittled the undefeated Valero’s record of 24 knockouts in 24 wins posing the question “who has he fought?” In stark contrast Diaz said Pacquiao has fought “the greatest of Mexican fighters and has fought a lot of skilled fighters.”

Diaz added “Pacquiao has the pedigree and although I personally haven’t seen Valero fight my money is on Pacquiao.” He quickly clarified “I’m not a big betting man. No, no. no. If I bet something it will be a case of beer. That’s as high as I go.”

Diaz praised Pacquiao as “a smart fighter who did what he had to do and he’s a great champion.” In his view Pacquiao “definitely fought his best fight against me and like I said before he would come to the fight very well prepared.”

Diaz revealed there were those who said Pacquiao wouldn’t be in top condition for the fight but he had responded, “that’s nonsense. Manny Pacquiao has got history he wants to make and he’s going to train his butt off to achieve that and he did, and he did a great job to achieve that.”

Diaz added, “my hat goes off to him and my respect for him has increased tremendously.”

The former champion and ex Olympian said he was not thinking of boxing at this time saying “right now all I am thinking about is a nice, warm shower, nice blanket with my wife and spending time with my kids.” He said he had neglected his family for about a month while training for the Pacquiao fight “so its time to make up and spend time with them.”

Advised by us to go and cheer for his favorite baseball team – the Chicago Cubs – Diaz said he’ll “drink a couple of beers and watch the Cubs.”

Asked whether he plans on buying a new car Diaz said “oh yeah, we have to” but jokingly added that with the skyrocketing gasoline prices “I’m going to end up getting a bicycle.” He said he would “wait around and see what happens because I don’t have to do nothing.”

Arum, in an interview with Dennis Principe on his “Sports Chat” show over dzSR Sports Radio praised Diaz as “one of the nicest young men that I’ve ever had to promote and he was tremendously gracious in defeat and he told me after the fight that he wants to rest for the remainder of the year. He took a tremendous beating at the hands of Manny and I will start planning for him sometime. There are a lot of lightweight champions and lightweights out there that David could do very well against. Manny was just too fast and had too much stamina and energy for David to cope with. There are other fighters out there who would not present that kind of problem.”

i am just getting confused right now…

a person that broke my heart before seems to be trying to patch things up… the connection that i tried so hard to end, starts to build a new fire in my heart…

its like my kite when i was a kid… i only made one kite in my entire life… it was my favorite kite since it i’ve been through a lot to make it fly high… i was never too possessive and scared, so i just let it fly… i just held on to the string hoping that it won’t fly away.. i trusted my string was strong enough to keep my kite… but then it was not.. my kite got carried away with the wind… it enjoyed more the carefree feeling with the wind… i just cried then, watching my kite flew until all i could see was the horizon..

as the days gone by, i just watch other kids play with their kites and trying to forget the kite that i used to have.. there were days i wish it would come back.. but then it never did… then the day that i almost forgot that i had a kite i loved so much before, came… accidentally, i see this raggedly almost torn into pieces kite stuck on a tree branch… the structure was very familiar.. the design was very distinct… it was my kite… almost broken… then the memories starts to rush back into my senses… i was really happy then.. as i gaze upon the kite, its like its calling me to climb it up and restore it…

unconsciously, voices at the back of my head are whispering to me “why not give myself a second chance to play with my kite”… to rekindle the memories… as i drew nearer to the branch, i realized the danger of me retrieving the kite… the branches are soft and unstable… it can’t hold my weight and there were a lot of uncertainties if i could restore it.. maybe i would just get hurt more than how i was hurt before… then i stopped climbing…

yes… the fear of getting hurt more prohibits myself to allow my heart to fall to that same person again… the depression of losing the kite, i can handle… but going through again in losing the person you love the most, is quite difficult to imagine…

Virgilio L. Malang or “Billy” to those who know him well typifies the dedicated innoventor. He has a harvest of 20 local and 18 international awards so far including the bronze medal at the 2008 1st International Inventors Day Convention in Bangkok.

The latest feathers in his glowing hat include the “outstanding service medalist” for 2008 International Federation of Inventor Association (IFIA), and the 2008 outstanding alumnus in Science and Technology of Pampanga High School Centennial.

Malang’s inventive dexterity mirrors his academic achievements. He has an MBA from the University of the Philippines, a PhD in commerce from University of Santo Tomas, and earned graduate units in Asian studies, agribusiness, and law.

He is the program director of Creativity cram School since 2000 and S&T Post (publication of Department of Science and Technology) contributor since 1999. Billy’s inventiveness isn’t confined to adults. He has come up with “Lollipop Fortified with Multivitamins and Minerals” that purportedly fills the nutrients gap between actual consumption and RENI (Required Energy and Nutrient Intake) among Filipino kids.

Now there’s Lolligundi, a lollipop made of Lagundi, apparently calculated to lick children’s general dislike for medication. Lolligundi makes medications fun and easy for kids. Flirting is, at its most basic, a way to meet potential mates and see if they are compatible. In some situations, such as at a dance or a party, flirting is the only way to open the door to a romantic relationship with someone you don’t know and might not otherwise ever see again. 1. Lower your expectations. Flirting is fun, but only if you don’t take it too seriously. Most of the time, you’ll just flirt with someone for a short time and then maybe never talk to them again. Perhaps the best way to strike up a conversation is to start with a simple observation which ends with a question: “Nice day, isn’t it?” or “This place sure is packed, eh?” are just a couple examples. What you say isn’t important. You don’t really need an answer to the question; you are simply inviting the person to talk with you. If the person responds pleasantly, continue the conversation. If the person doesn’t respond or seems preoccupied or disinterested, he or she probably isn’t interested in flirting with you. At the beginning of the conversation, you don’t want to talk about anything personal. Talk about the environment around you, the show you just saw, etc., but don’t talk much about yourself and don’t ask the other person personal questions.

   Gradually share information about yourself in a reciprocal manner. If this small talk goes well, proceed to share a little information about yourself–just something small like what you do for a living or how you liked the show you just saw, for example. At some point, of course, you’ll want to introduce yourself and, hopefully, get the other person’s name. The key to sharing information is that you both gradually open up. Take turns talking, and each time the other person gives you some information about himself or herself, give similar information about yourself, and maybe give slightly more personal information than that person gave. For example, if you’re talking to a girl who says she’s taking summer classes, you might disclose that you are also taking summer classes, and then proceed to tell her which class you are most excited about. This invites her to disclose more information about herself. In this manner, the intimacy of the conversation increases over time. You don’t want to share too much about yourself too quickly, and you shouldn’t try to get the other person to do so either.

7. Give the person your complete attention. Laugh at their jokes, listen to their stories, and don’t get distracted by what’s going on around you. It’s more important to seem interested than to seem interesting, and you don’t want to hog the conversation. Being a good listener is far more important to successful flirting than being witty.
8. Use body language to hint at your romantic intentions. If things are going really well, you might want to try to break the touch barrier. Touch his or her arm briefly and gently as you talk. Or be more assertive and hold the person’s hand when you cross the street, or if walking to a seat or a table, lead them by gently holding their arm. Touching in this manner helps break a “personal space” barrier. Pay attention to red flags, because some people have “personal space” issues and you don’t want to make them uncomfortable. In general, women can get away with touching much earlier in a conversation than men can. Many women feel a little threatened when a man they just met enters their personal space, while most men are more open to being touched. In any case, proceed with caution, and back off if you get negative or mixed signals from the person.
9. Close the deal. Most flirting is just harmless fun, and nothing will ever come of it. Every now and then, though, you’ll meet someone who you’d like to see again and who you think would also like to see you again. Flirting is, after all, a type of courting ritual, a way to meet potential boyfriends or girlfriends, maybe even your future spouse. Don’t worry about wedding plans just yet, though; start by getting the person’s phone number. For most people, this is the hard part, because you have to actually make your intentions known, and in doing so you risk rejection. Be brave. Tell the person you’d like to see him or her again, and just ask for their phone number or, if it feels right, try to set up a date for some future time. If the person isn’t interested, don’t sweat it. There’ll always be another guy or girl to flirt with.

Warnings

• Don’t flirt with someone who you are sure that you’re not romantically interested in, period. Otherwise, you risk accidentally leading them on, which can lead to an embarrassing moment and uncomfortable interactions afterwards. But still remember that you are not getting married, yet. Flirting is like compliments, in that it should have a kind of sincerity attached to it. Flirt with people who seem different than you or who you do not know much about, and they could surprise you.
• Use flirting that is appropriate for the setting. Meeting at a library or loud dance hall, for example, might not be conducive to talking too much. In this case, smile, act interested, and wait for a spontaneous opportunity to meet at the punch bowl or in the lobby. Do not however, appear to be a stalker or you will scare them away.
• Flirting is not appropriate everywhere. Funerals, for example, are generally not good places to flirt. Flirting in the workplace is also generally a no-no. If you happen to flirt at work, be on your best behavior, and don’t press the issue if the other person isn’t interested.
• Though humor is often a good way to flirt with people, try not to make any jokes that might make your flirting recipient uncomfortable. Though dirty jokes often come to mind when flirting with someone, they often have little or no place in a conversation and can result in the person being turned off or an awkward silence, killing the mood and making you feel embarrassed. Think before you speak, and remember, you don’t have to be funny all the time.

1. Leave little love notes or piles of candy when you visit each other. Stash them away where your honey will be sure to find them, whether in the car, under his/her pillow or in a travel bag.

2. Call just because you are thinking of him or her… leave a cute message in the voicemail or send a text message with a sweet or seductive meaning. If you prefer to leave a message as opposed to talking, call when you know he or she is unavailable so a little something sweet is waiting upon return to the cell phone, home or office.

3. Send an email, or better yet, get old-fashioned and send a letter or a card through the mail to express your love. After all, who doesn’t love getting mail (well, except for bills!) as a surprise?

4. When you are getting together for an evening or even for just a few minutes, pick up his or her favorite treat or snack, a specialty coffee or dessert as a sweet surprise. If you are going to rent a movie or spend some quiet time at home, get a few snacks to enjoy with a flick or some television.

5. Speaking of renting movies, surprise your sweetheart with a movie you pick out that you know he or she would really enjoy. I often have a difficult time making up my mind about which movie to rent, so it would definitely be a huge – but much appreciated – step if I brought one over that I knew he would like.

6. You know those sweet things you think of when you are together or just thinking about your honey? Well, next time a thought pops in your mind, voice it! Girls especially love to know what wonderful things go on in the inner workings of their guys’ minds, so chances are, guys may also enjoy a few catch phrases.

7. When you spend time together, help each other out with chores to free up more time to spend together. Sometimes lending a hand can even be fun when you are both working together.

8. Swap massages, or simply give your partner a massage if you get the idea that he or she has had a long day. Foot massages and back rubs can do wonders for relaxing people and alleviating stress. Many males seem to enjoy having their backs gently scratched or rubbed softly as a means of helping them to relax.

9. Bring home take-out from a favorite dining establishment after a long day so the two of you can enjoy some food in the comfort of your own home. It isn’t quite as romantic as cooking it yourself, but it is definitely a nice gesture.

10. Pick wildflowers or give a single rose or carnation for no reason. I even found a four-leaf clover once to give to my sweetheart.

12. Do something you may not want to, simply because it is important to him or her. This can be anything from attending a show or an event to doing a chore, giving up a bad habit or just trying something new. Find out what is important to him or her if you don’t already know, and make it happen.

13. Spend time with his or her family. The seriousness of a relationship can sometimes be gauged by how one interacts with his or her partner’s family. Spending time at your honey’s family’s home can also serve to strengthen your relationship.

14. Spend extra time getting ready-dress up or wear something that you know your sweetheart loves to see on you.

15. Snuggle up and take a nap together. There is nothing quite like falling asleep and waking up in the arms of the one you love….

16. Play romantic music and dance together. Slowly dancing around the room to a favorite song can mean so much more when it is completely unexpected.

17. Go on a picnic! Gather your favorite foods, drinks and desserts, a comfortable blanket and some utensils, plates, cups and napkins and head out for the park on a beautiful day. Go for a walk in the park while you are there and enjoy all of the nature around you.

18. Carry his or her photo in your wallet. Keep your sweetie present at all times by putting a photo of him/her or the two of you together in your wallet, at work, in your car or wherever you think you would most like to see it.

19. Bring your sweetheart to visit places you came to know and love in your childhood. Parks, playgrounds, the zoo, pumpkin patches, museums, amusement parks, beaches, boardwalks and any other attractions that you enjoyed as a child can bring back happy memories to share with your significant other.

20. Share your daydreams. Whatever makes your heart soar at thoughts of the future, consider sharing those ideas with your special one. Daydreaming together can be a very romantic and emotional experience, whether it is fully in jest or in a degree of serious contemplation.

21. Spray a little bit of your perfume or cologne on his or her pillow. You will be on each other’s minds to begin with, but the lingering scent after you have gone separate ways for the night will bring sweeter dreams than usual.
